VTCT Skills Level 4 Award in Eyelid Micropigmentation Techniques

1. Entry requirements

Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy or equivalent qualification that includes level 3 anatomy and physiology, or the level 3 certificate in access to aesthetic therapies.

2. What does this qualification cover?

The aim of this qualification is to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for the use of micropigmentation techniques in the eyelid area. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, establish their suitability for treatment and formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual needs. Learners will also be able to provide specific aftercare and home care advice.

Learners must achieve the following mandatory unit:

* Enhance appearance of eyes using micropigmentation techniques

3. What could this qualification lead to?

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment or self-employment in the advanced aesthetic industry providing treatments to enhance the eyelids using micropigmentation techniques. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing additional specialist qualifications at Level 4 or 5, in one or more of the following areas:

* VTCT Skills Level 4 Award in Eyebrow Micropigmentation Techniques

* VTCT Skills Level 4 Award in Lip Micropigmentation Techniques

* VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Scalp Micropigmentation Treatments

* VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 5 Award in Micropigmentation for Camouflage and Restoration
